Jaime “Nisso” Chalem is not your typical photographer. But typical is not his style. As a child in Bogota, Colombia, Jaime began photographing airplanes and parts at the local airport at age nine. Two years later, he and his family immigrated to South Florida, where Jaime’s passion for photography and aviation grew. He pursued a career as an airline pilot, which afforded Jaime the opportunity to capture people and places around the world through his camera lens. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Jaime like many others was laid off from his airline job. He decided it was time to pursue his first love of photography, and has been shooting ever since. Jaime is Owner and Senior Photographer of Nisso Studios. He has earned a reputation for using lighting and creativity to tell a story in his dramatic photos. Beyond the stunning images, clients rave about Jaime’s artistic style, keen eye for detail and ability to put them at ease. He uses top equipment, mixing new techniques to keep things fresh.
